The IARC partnership has nearly 110 years of combined experience in the auto recycling business, dating as far back as 1990.
The partners also have bi-national experience, given some of the businesses started in Mexico and/or continue to operate businesses in Mexico.
The partners recycle nearly 10,000 vehicles annually.
The Imperial County can be a key player to the auto recycling industry taking in consideration technological changes and need to legislate in favor of recycling hub/clusters such as the one we are promoting.
Expansion and positioning with the right plan both County and IARC can collaborate to instrument economic development programs that will spark future automobile and retail/wholesale opportunities to grow local economy.
Job Creation:
Upwards of 500 Full-Time jobs to be created (auxiliary businesses will be needed, such as car hauling, metal recycling, shipping and logistics, packaging materials, mechanics services, trainers, etc.
Increased tax revenue:
It is anticipated that this hub will generate upwards of $3M in tax revenue annually.
